The role involves supporting our business in coming up with functional specification documents. Does that sound like you?Welcome to BNP Paribas Personal FinanceJoining us at our Copenhagen office, you will become part of our Data Office department and work alongside other data analysts. We are passionate about data, and we are looking forward to having you on our team. We are looking for someone to support us on a fixed term contract for 24 months and with a possibility of an extension of up to 12 months.Our purpose is to give the company a strategic data overview of the entire organisation and help us make new, valuable insights. As our business is built on data, we need to manage this asset in a responsible way. You will be supporting our business in the Nordics (Norway, Sweden and Denmark).Create business value from dataAs part of our team, you write functional specification documents that will enable the data development to code data applications. The roles also involves doing some retro documentation of existing applications and working with our referential officer to ensure that we capture business definitions. Taking on an outgoing role, you will collaborate with all our different data users in ensuring they are able to test and sign off on deliverables.More specifically, you will:
  • Support the product owner/technical team in analyzing business needs and estimate the time needed to deliver the expected deliverables.
  • Write the expected deliverables (functional specification, test book, etc.).
  • Support on updating the data dictionary.
  • Clarify the needs from a critical and constructive point of view and, if necessary, challenge the expressed need of the Business.
  • Contribute in the deployment of applications in our production batch system.
  • Analyze the anomalies detected in production and provide corrective actions.
  • Support users on functional questions linked to the functional domain.
  • Look into the entire data life cycle and ensure that controls are in place to ensure data quality.
  • Assist the business where data quality in deficient to implement remediation action plans and put in place controls.

  • You have previous experience as a Data analyst (at least 3 years) or data engineer.
  • You have excellent collaboration and communication skills, which enables you to work with different stakeholders within the organisation.
  • You have a good understanding of banking processes.
  • You have analytical skills.
  • Experience in data querying languages such as SAS or oracle is an added advantage.
  • You speak and write English effortlessly.
