The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for identifying and creating opportunities for cost reduction and value adding in all agreements entered into on behalf of Murrin Murrin Operations Pty Ltd (MMO) for the provision of goods and services, and to ensure cost effective, professional and ethical standards are utilised and maintained in accordance with Company policies and procedures when conducting business with contractors and suppliers, including EPCM contractors.You will be responsible for:
- Liaising with the Manager - Supply & Logistics, Contracts Superintendent – Logistics, team members and internal customers to ensure the agreed level of service is maintained
- Developing, implementing, and managing contracting strategies for operational requirements
- Contractor tendering and adjudication processes
- Leading negotiations with preferred suppliers
- Resolution of disputes / claims and the preparation of deeds of settlement and release
- Ensure contract performance is maintained and take action to rectify when required
- Cost reduction and/or service optimisation through effective Agreement management
- Quality Assurance (QA) overview of Agreement related S&L activities
This role would suit a motivated contracts specialist who is results driven and customer service focused. You will also have:
- Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
- Sound understanding of the logistics, bulk chemicals and reagents market in Western Australia
- Contract documentation preparation and ongoing management
- Developing, implementing and managing procurement contracting strategies
- An understanding of contract law
- Significant experience leading negotiations and managing high-value Agreements (preferably within Mining, Oil & Gas or other capital intensive industries)
- A proven track record in the development of goods and services agreements (including planning, tendering, adjudication, negotiation, award and ongoing contract management
- Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management and supply systems (Oracle) and Microsoft applications
