The dynamic Communications and Corporate Affairs Function at Irish Distillers brings together a team of talented individuals with expertise across a diverse mix of disciplines from corporate and brand communications and content production, to public affairs, sustainability & responsibility strategy and internal engagement.Adept at relationship building, message crafting and story-telling in new and innovative ways, the team is committed to protecting and promoting our reputation and developing compelling narratives and creative content about our wonderful company and brands.Together the team sits at the heart of our company, reporting to the Chairman & CEO of Irish Distillers, and providing partnership, consultancy and support for the entire businessWe are now seeking a Brand PR and Corporate Communications Executive to join this busy, dynamic team on contract basis. Working with the Brand and Corporate Communications Manager, you will execute high quality, corporate and brand communications activities across a range of channels in order to support IDL’s business strategy.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Corporate Communications:Corporate Content & Channel Management:With the corporate communications agency, develop content for social media calendars across 3 x corporate channelsDefine and track strategies to grow engagement on our channelsStorymine for content across the business to support external (and where appropriate, internal communications)Manage the corporate website, including development of content and updates as requiredIDL Corporate AssetsManage and update the company asset bank of images, AV content and other resourcesDevelop resources for the wider business (corporate decks etc) as required.Corporate Communications ProjectsSupport the Corporate Communications Manager (and lead where appropriate) on corporate communication projects.Support senior spokespeople prior to interviewsBrand CommunicationsGlobal Brand Awards:Manage the Annual Brand Awards logistics with the brand PR agency and Fox & GeeseManage the annual strategic review of the awardsManage the associated press materialsBrand Press Activity:Manage brand PR press activity, including but not limited to, fact gathering for the agency for the development of press releases, FAQs, interview briefing documents for spokespeople etc.Review/editing first edits of press releases, FAQs, briefing documents etc.Support senior spokespeople prior to interviewsProduct LaunchesManage shipping of samples to mediaKey media liaison at product launch eventsMedia Research & ReportingWeekly Media Hub reporting for Corporate & Brand CommunicationsMedia tracking to identify opportunities and challenges for Brand PR and Corporate CommunicationsKEY SKILLS REQUIRED:Excellent communication skills, including strong presentation and copy writing skillsUp to date knowledge of all emerging communication channels, media and consumer trendsTech savvy, with strong digital communications skillsStrong understanding of communication’s landscape, including local and global media trendsResults orientated, innovative and creativeStrong organisational skills, ability to prioritise tasks and attention to detailTeam playerHigh energy, high creativity and ability to work under own initiativeQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:Educated to degree level (Honours), ideally in Communications, Marketing or related discipline;Minimum of 2 years + classic FMCG experience, achieved in a high performing environment (ideally within communications) with proven ability to develop strong relationships and influence senior stakeholdersExperience in agency management would be an advantageWHAT WE OFFERWe understand our people are our special ingredient.
