Senior Full Stack Developer (Cloud)We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Full Stack Developer (Cloud) to join our Health, Safety and Risk Business. This will be a mixture of home based and office (ideally near Abingdon but not essential)About The Team:RPS is recognised as one of the leading Health and Safety compliance consultancies in the UK. Within RPS we develop and manage several applications to support our business as well as making it available to internal and external customers as part of our revenue stream.We have recently undertaken a rewrite of one of our major applications and now require another Senior Developer to work with the existing team to complete core functionality while working with the Stakeholders to develop further functionality as required.This role will work on other development projects under the guidance of the project team, ensuring the relevant standards are adhered to. This role will also be responsible for liaison with the various RPS Business Units.You should have a solid grounding in Azure architectural best practices, security best practices and have a good understanding of CI/CD application development within Azure and Azure DevOps.Key responsibilities/accountabilities:· Lead members of the Development Team in the production of code as required by the project team. Follow QA procedures as defined by the Development Team. Gain knowledge and understanding of all RKC business sectors.· Act as technical authority to the development team in the Azure Architecture. Input into the current design and develop this further.· Own the design of the solution and provide the design artifacts as inputs to the development team.· Perform code reviews for other team members ensure automatic code quality checks are undertaken· Excellent skills in developing, deploying & debugging cloud applications.· Lead on IaC, simplifying the existing infrastructure and ensuring fast deployments of new environments· Knowledge of key features of Cloud Service Providers· Understanding of application lifecycle management· Ability the use of continuous integration and distribution pipelines to deploy applications.· Ability to code to implement essential security measures· Skills in writing, correcting and debugging code modules using the languages below· Understanding in the use of containers in development processes· Understand standard systems development lifecycle processes and apply RPS methodology effectively on projects.· Applies knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve productivity.· Adheres to defined coding standards.· Establish responsible deadlines and personal work plans.Knowledge, skills and abilities:Excellent multi-year experience in the following development areas:· C# and the .NET Framework (Core / .Net 5.0)· React· Angular (11+) and Typescript· Terraform and Bicep· SQL Server Database Development (including T-SQL skills)· ASP.NET MVC· HTML, CSS and Javascript.· Power Platform· Development Experience with Microsoft Azure including.o Azure Functionso Azure SQL Databaseso Azure API Managemento Azure Web Appso Azure Data Factoryo Databrickso Cosmos DB· Experience of developing multi-tenant applications.· Experience of writing secure API web services.· Experience in Test Driven Development and recognised testing tools.· CI/CD methodologies and implementation· Source control (Azure DevOps / GIT)· Use of Agile methodologies· Use of Microsoft Azure DevOps & Github· A commitment to keep up to date with developments in technology· Ability to gain SC clearanceOptional· Experience in working with UX/UI design team and translating their design work into codeWhat's in it for you?We're an accredited training provider - from entry level to master's degree level professional qualifications in leadership & management and executive coaching & mentoring, we support learning and development for everyone.A personal development plan and a transparent career pathway puts you in the driving seat of your career and you'll be supported as far as you want to go.We encourage and value different ideas, perspectives, and styles of thinking.
