Job Title HR & Payroll Assistant - 12 month FTCJob DescriptionReports to:People Services LeadLocation:London – HeathrowIntroduction to roleVanderlande is the global market leader in automation systems and solutions for customers within the Airports, Parcel & Warehousing sectors striving to improve the competitiveness of our customers through Value Added logistic process automation. The HR & Payroll Administrator supports employees, managers and HR team with maintaining and updating the Employee data, submitting payroll to UK payroll team, payroll queries. This role is a part time role 25 hours per week.Role ResponsibilitiesAs a frontline HR employee, the HR & Payroll Administrator has an important role ensuring the payroll reports are delivered in a timely and accurate manner. A deep focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement would be required.Your responsibilities and activities will include:
  • Supporting the Payroll Manager with the complete payroll process for United Kingdom.
  • Processing new starters, leavers and salary changes
  • Input of overtime
  • Support Responsible for payroll year end (P60s, P11ds etc.)
  • Pension contributions
  • Life Insurance
  • Communication with external stakeholders (HMRC, Auditors and Advisors etc.)
  • Support with staff queries/questions regarding payroll
  • Create effective and good working relationships with all departments to ensure that customer expectations are exceeded
  • Ensure all requests are dealt with efficiently, ensuring employees have everything required in order to carry out their daily duties
  • Working as part of a team to ensure a smooth running of the department and business
  • Partnering with HR regarding Payroll and International Mobility
  • Responsible for the continuous improvement of policies and procedures as well as learning continuously and developing professional potential and ability
  • Continuously seeking process improvements ensuring they are implemented in ways of working.
  • Support a safe working environment within business development through championing and encouragement of a safety-first culture
Role Qualification and Skills
  • Minimum of 12 months Payroll administration experience
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Stress resistant; a practical approach and a good sense of priorities
  • Organised and disciplined,
  • Previous experience working with ADP Freedom is advantageous
