Up to £25k DOE | Hybrid | ExeterOur client a respectable and growing law firm is seeking an IT Support Technician based in Exeter. As an IT Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to our clients, ensuring smooth operation of their IT systems and infrastructure. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, implementing solutions, and delivering excellent customer service to end-users.On completion of probation, this role offers Hybrid Working with regular access to the Exeter office.IT Support Technician responsibilities include:
  • Respond to IT support requests from clients via phone, email, or ticketing system. Troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware, software, networking, and peripherals
  • Identify root causes of IT problems and provide timely and effective solutions. Escalate complex issues to senior technicians or appropriate teams for further investigation and resolution
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications according to client requirements and company standards
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, patches, and backups to ensure the stability, security, and performance of IT systems
IT Support Technician requirements include:
  • Associate degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably in an IT services environment
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and software applications
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) are a plus but not required
