Our Vehicle Technicians are encouraged to manage their own time, while being proactive to ensure our Commercial Fleet is maintained.Job Description:At a glance:The salary offered for this role is up to £42,700, plus a 10% shift premium (calculated from the bottom of the pay range) and overtime when required.This role is a permanent, full time role.Hours: Working 37.5 hours per week, with a three week rolling rotaWeek 1: 06:00 - 14:00Week 2: 09:00 - 17:00Week 3: 14:00 - 22:00With 1 in 3 Saturday as additional paid hours (06:00 - 14:00)Based at our Bracknell Workshop, our Vehicle Technician ensures our fleet of Waitrose vehicles remain well maintained and road-worthy.What you'll be doingAs a Technician within the team, you’ll be working on our 7.5 Tonne and 3.5 Tonne Delivery Vehicles. It will be your job to ensure all vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard to both VOSA and Partnership’s requirements.As well as ensuring that the relevant sections of all inspections, services and defect sheets are completed in compliance with our ‘O’ Licence obligations, and that all spares requests and time books are completed daily. You will need to be aware of best practice and current commercial vehicle repair techniques, to be able to ensure that high quality repairs are carried out in a cost effective manner and that the use of spare parts and consumables reflect the level of work carried out.Why join us?Our Vehicle Workshop is growing and you’ll be working with many experienced Partners.
