Paper Mill.Responsibilities include: The co-op will work with the Environmental Engineering group. Maintain compliance related electronic data. Includes data input and data quality assurance responsibilities. Streamline and upgrade environmental compliance data management practices, as well as assist with the creation of new compliance documentation tools in response to regulatory actions. Document control responsibilities for both electronic and traditional compliance document files. Assistance with compilation of periodic compliance reports to regulatory agencies. Special projects for streamlining production data management tools utilized for technical and environmental company records. Utilize data from various mill data collection systems and software, as well as manual operations records for compliance and comparative trending purposes. Assistance with environmental engineering & special projects, such as landfill construction, wastewater treatment system construction, and residuals management. Assistance with environmental laboratory analytical tasks and sample collection.Basic Qualifications:
Must be a student in good standing with the University, currently enrolled majoring in Environmental, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or equivalent applicable engineering program. The student will have either completed the Freshman year or will have completed the Freshman year when co-op begins and express interest in Pulp and Paper Manufacturing as a career. A minimum grade point average of 3.0 is required, you must pass a drug screen, and you must be eligible to work in the US full-time.The successful candidate must possess the following Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to be able to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multi-task, and build sound relationships with both internal and external customers.Ability to exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and computer skills.Capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem-solving, ambiguity, and changeAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.Ability to read and understand technical correspondence, memos, instructions, and reports.PCA provides a competitive, comprehensive benefits package.PAY & BENEFITS:
Salary Range: $26.00 hr. Seniors, $25.00 hr. Juniors and $24.00 hr.
