  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to primary school students with SEMH needs, assisting them with their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to implement individualized support plans and interventions to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Use your knowledge of psychology to understand and support students' behavior, emotions, and cognitive processes effectively.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, offering encouragement, empathy, and guidance to help them build resilience and self-confidence.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior support strategies, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to promote the holistic well-being and progress of students with SEMH needs.
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the welfare and safety of all students in our care.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Psychology or related field.
  • Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
  • Empathy, patience, and resilience in supporting children with SEMH needs.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and upholding the highest standards of practice.
