Pirelli is looking for a qualified/experienced Property Risk Engineer to join its reinsurance team. After an initial training period in our HQ in Milan (6-12 months), the resource will have the opportunity to join the reinsurance team based in Basel (Switzerland).Key Accountabilities
- Conducting onsite visits to assess property loss control and Nat Cat exposures in the Pirelli factories
- Develop detailed reports to relay conditions and provide recommendations for improvement
- Analyze building construction, fire protection features, process operations and special hazards
- Building relationship with key insurance/reinsurance carriers
- Evaluate Captive risk line/portfolio exposure and risk optimization instruments
- Handle claims
- Master's degree in engineering (preferred mechanical or electrical)
- 2-3 years of experience in Risk Consulting
- Strong working knowledge of fire protection and of insurance issues
- Knowledge of FM Global or NFPA standards
- Knowledge about mechanical and electrical equipment (mainly, boilers, compressors, gearboxes, electric motors, switchgears, transformers)
- Knowledge of maintenance of electrical equipment (NDT, infrared scanning, vibration monitoring)
- Ability to consult effectively on a broad range of tire manufacturing risk controls, and the ability to identify exposures/assess complex risks
- Good knowledge of excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English
- Willingness to learn, Strong interpersonal relationship skills and ability to work in a team
