Job Title: Program Marketer – Transportation Electrification
Duration: 6 months
Location: Portland. OR (Hybrid)Team
  • This contingent marketer role will be one of 6 direct reports to the Manager of Program Marketing.
  • Our Marketing organization is comprised of four teams: Program Marketing, Customer Marketing, Digital & Content Marketing and a Creative & Production center of excellence. There are around 25 team members within this organization.
  • The program marketing team strategizes and implements cross-channel campaigns to encourage customer adoption into our wide portfolio of programs.
  • This marketing role will support transportation electrification programs that support our residential and business audiences with focus areas in electric vehicle pole and curbside charging, fleet electric vehicle charging and more.
Biggest Challenge
  • Learning curve for transportation electrification industry. We are looking for a marketer with a growth mindset who is interested in this industry and excited to learn more.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics, marketing or other related field or equivalent experience.
  • Marketing certification a plus but not required
  • Typically, 5 or more years in marketing in a customer-centric environment or related field; energy industry experience preferred but not required.
Job Description:
The Program Marketer for Transportation Electrification (TE) develops marketing strategy and implementation for the TE portfolio in our B2B and B2C audiences. Our B2B programs focus on marketing and sales enablement of electrifying fleets for businesses and its incentives. Our B2C programs focus on marketing of our municipal charging program, which consists of utility pole and curbside charging for electric vehicles in local neighborhoods. \
General Program Marketing:
  • Manages TE marketing project budgets, reviews program revenue and expenses, determines best uses of marketing resources for product promotions and campaigns.
  • Works with vendors and partners to resolve complex issues if/when they arise.
  • Serves as department subject matter expert for developments and trends in the transportation electrification industry and shares information with internal stakeholders.
  • Creates and documents ongoing processes
Discovery, Campaign Strategy and Creation:
  • Works with partners to identify customer needs and evaluate potential program enhancements by analyzing data from multiple sources to decide which initiatives are likely to best map to the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Creates and executes marketing planning including strategy, budget, tactics, and channels
Designs and implements cross-functional processes and procedures that ensure a high quality customer experience; contributes to the continuous improvement of marketing materials, messaging and systems. * Works with creative and production teams to create marketing materials such as emails, web pages, digital ads, print ads, post cards, social media posts and more.
Implementation:
  • Executes innovative, creative and cost-effective marketing and promotion plans aligned to other programs to meet strategic objectives
  • Partners with Digital Marketing strategist to run advertising with our agency partners
  • Coordinates with internal stakeholders to prepare impactful and innovative collateral/communications for assigned marketing promotions and campaigns
Outcomes and Analysis:
  • Analyzes and tracks marketing performance throughout the campaign and documents findings and recommends changes to incorporate in the future.
  • Provides campaign status and/or reports for management and stakeholders as necessary.
