- AO principles course
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- At least 18 months' experience in orthopaedics within the NHS.
- Previous experience at middle grade level
- Good communicator.
- Capable of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
- All applicants to have demonstrable skills in written and spoken English adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues demonstrated by one of the following: o that applicants have undertaken undergraduate medical training in English; or o have achieved the following scores in the academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) in a single sitting within 24 months at time of application - Overall 7, Speaking 7, Listening 7, Reading 7, Writing 7
- Enthusiasm for service development and teaching, with examples of past practice
- Stated career intention of T&O, with evidence of commitment to the specialty
- Demonstrates understanding of the basic principles of audit, clinical risk management & evidence-based practice
- Audit: Evidence of active participation in audit
- Understanding of basic research principles, methodology & ethics, with potential to contribute to research
- Peer reviewed publications or regional/ national/international presentations
- Full GMC Registration with licence to practice
