Business Unit Finance DirectorDalkia - Smart Infrastructure SolutionsSan Antonio, TXDalkia U.S. is looking to hire an experienced Finance Director to lead the Smart Infrastructure Solutions operation for TX. The Director of Finance will report to the Executive VP of Operations, in San Antonio. This is an office based position.This position will perform senior level policy administration and managerial work in a fast-paced environment. This position will serve as a business partner, adviser and key contributor to the Executive VP of Operations in the development of long-term strategies and short-term goals through sound business insight as well as synthesized financial information through financial reporting, business analysis, insight, recommendations, action plans and forecasts. This individual is responsible for the daily accounting activities, annual budget preparations, monthly forecasting, strategic planning, and project performance review. Plans, organizes and directs the operations of procurement and facilities, including supervising the work of others on the team. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Responsibilities:
  • Integrate business into the existing financial software systems of Dalkia US (Sage Intacct, Salesforce, Avalara, Nexonia, and Docupeak) and possibly implement new software tools as necessary for operations’ unique needs.
  • Uses strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage the team.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains financial management and accounting systems, including controls, protocols, policies, and procedures under the guidance and support of our Corporate finance department.
  • Prepares, interprets, and presents financial statements, monthly financial reports, financial analysis, cost studies, etc.
  • Prepares department annual budgets.
  • Oversees short and long-term financial planning and forecasting.
  • Ensures the assets of the company are properly protected, including systems to record, track and dispose of property; and maintain required insurances and coverage amounts.
  • Assists in negotiating leases and other service contracts.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Oversee and contribute to the A/R activities and cash flow management (timely billing and collections) and A/P activities (PO/invoice reconciliation and processing including payments selection)
  • Oversee and contribute to the monthly close process including projects review with the operation team, revenue recognition and accruals.
  • Monitoring of contract(s) to ensure correct revenue recognition and to track profitability.
  • Ensure appropriate financial and other internal controls are in place.
Incumbent will receive support from and be a part of a larger Finance team based in Massachusetts to reach expected goals and be successful.Expected Education & Experience:
  • Master’s Degree in finance accounting, business administration, or related field; CPA or CFA is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 8-years’ successful experience in a Director or Senior Finance role, preferably in the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, with a solid understanding of GAAP. Experience with IFRS and/or other International Accounting principles is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities,with the aptitude to present complex financial information in an understandable manner.
  • Familiarity with financial management software (Sage Intacct, Salesforce, Avalara, Nexonia, and Docupeak) and advanced proficiency with MS Office.
