- Research and develop analysis, forecasting, and optimization methods to generate competitive insights and formulate into actionable knowledge.
- Data Science & AI
- Develop the data science capability and olfactive data collection effort within the Scent, Technology, and Innovation department.
- Maintain the existing models and develop new models using a combination of:
- Business Knowledge
- Artificial Intelligence
- Computer science
- Data mining
- Work with large, complex data sets. Solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods as needed. Conduct analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, ongoing deliverables, and presentations.
- Define key experiments to collect required olfactive fragrance performance olfactive data
- Develop key technical insights from product application work that can be applied to innovation projects.
- Plan and execute proactive innovative technical projects under the supervision of a more senior project manager.
- Translate business challenges into models or algorithm strategy.
- Conduct patent/bibliography research to maintain state of the art technology.
- Contribute positively by making suggestions for improvements in methods or techniques that result in benefits to the technical department.
- Master's degree or equivalent in Science & Technology, Chemistry or related discipline.
- 1-2+ years of experience ideally in the fragrance industry
- Proven track record of success managing multiple projects on and solving complex technical problems.
- Knowledge of fragrance materials and olfactive descriptors
- Real interest in perfumery and fragrance formulation
- Preferably experience with programming languages (Python, R, or equivalent), and working with databases (SQL, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in development of statistical methods, algorithms, computer coding and artificial intelligence.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast paced & multi tasks environment.
