We are looking for a Sales Manager within Next Sourcing's Direct Brands department based in our London office. We are excited to welcome a passionate and experienced sales manager to manage our 'Direct Brands' department. This role will report into the 'Head of Brands Sales & Marketing' at Next Sourcing.About the role
  • Effectively manage and cultivate relationships with our existing Direct Brand Clients, Next Sourcing UK teams & Next Sourcing overseas teams.
  • Work with your sourcing teams in the territories on clear strategies, in advance of the season, to bring the best offer to our Branded clients. This includes identifying the key opportunities of each brand, working on comprehensive product offers that ensures strong product development, best price and quick speed of response.
  • Monitor Next Sourcing sales performance and provide guidance, motivation and support to the teams in territories to improve results. This task will also involve tracking and analysing sales targets to measure the effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement, and reporting to senior management.
  • Constantly identify new product opportunities and new areas of potential growth, sell these ideas to the brands and work towards converting these opportunities into orders and drive new sales opportunities for the company.
  • Be heavily involved in product development and driving new opportunities from concept and sourcing through to ready to buy product.
  • Manage the Next Sourcing critical path alongside each Direct Brands critical path ensuring the product is designed and delivered according to key dates such as range reviews, selections.
  • Be responsible to sell our product offers to each brand with conviction using your influence and help evolve the range for each brand and drive sales for the company.
  • Assist with price negotiations, delivery negotiations, and small quantity order negotiations where necessary and deliver competitive prices, deliveries, service to the Next buying teams.
  • Act as a link between the Each Brand and Next Sourcing teams in territories to assist with troubleshooting where necessary to make sure the customer sees Next Sourcing as their first port of call.
  • Travel will feature in this role with seasonal territory visits. Also Trade shows and inspiration trips.

  • You will need a strong product development background with strong sourcing knowledge.
  • Experience in a similar role managing Branded products and nurturing relationships would be preferable.
  • You'll demonstrate exceptional commercial awareness and a comprehensive understanding of trends as well as having an understanding of product development and manufacture.
  • You'll need to work well in a team within your department as well as being highly personable and engaging across the business.
  • Experienced and able to present new concepts and suggestions to encourage new sales opportunities.
  • Ability to sell our product offers to key stakeholders within each brand with conviction
  • You'll need the drive and enthusiasm to follow tasks through until completion and have good problem solving skills.
  • Experience gained within Buying or Merchandising or Brand Sourcing or from a supplier background.
