- Uses Autodesk Inventor and supporting software to create product models and assemblies for use in both production and sales proposals.
- Creates and revises production drawings (detail and assembly drawings).
- Drafts detailed multi-view drawings of specific components and steel fabrications.
- Creates finished designs from sketches, blueprints, or models.
- Examines documents to develop, compute, and verify specifications for drafting data, such as configuration of parts, dimensions, or tolerances.
- Calculates material requirements and records within a manufacturing control system (software)Examine documents to develop and create accurate bills of material (BOM) in the ERP system.
- Creates supporting information for release of designs to production.
- Maintains an organized file system for production drawings.
- Communicates with tooling, QA, project managers, engineering, customers, and manufacturing regarding new and revised prints.
- Consults with engineers, sales representatives, and customers to discuss or interpret designs and requirements and assists in the development of project and product proposals when required.
- Creates engineering documents and designs as directed.
- Assists with data management as needed.
