Location - remote friendly employer supporting office and hybrid working. Flexible presence at our Gartnavel office is a requirement of this role. A small department within a large finance team we manage capital investment of all types within our sizeable asset base.Capable of working with finance, procurement, project managers & clinical colleagues at all levels the ideal candidate will be highly motivated and able to use your own initiative with excellent communication, organisational, IT and finance/ business skills.Working closely with the Senior Capital Accountant you will be responsible for the provision of a professional financial management service to budget holders within our capital plan.The Capital Accountant will assist the Senior Capital Accountant to lead, coordinate and develop a full accounting and reporting service on the Capital Plan and to manage, maintain and develop an efficient and effective system of reporting spend to allow the best possible use of investment within our asset base.You will be competent in the management of financial information, financial reporting, budgetary control processes and governance arrangements. Ideally degree/HND qualified in accountancy (or with equivalent work experience) you will have excellent IT skills, good communication skills and the ability to use initiative and deliver to strict timelines while dealing diplomatically with staff at all levels.Candidates are encouraged to utilise the assessment section of the application to explain why they would be valuable in the position.
