- Oversee the BIM implementation of façade engineering elements within the BIM delivery scope to ensure the seamless integration into multidisciplinary design projects.
- Lead the advancement and execution of comprehensive facade engineering solutions within the BIM framework, emphasizing the harmonization of aesthetics and functionality. This involves spearheading innovative approaches to address aspects like building enclosure systems, natural ventilation, noise mitigation, and energy conservation.
- Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and portfolio managers to provide expert advice on facade planning, design, materials procurement, construction, and maintenance, ensuring alignment with project objectives and industry standards.
- Ensure that the Specialist Team delivers high-quality information, data, and models to stakeholders within the project supply chain, adhering to contractual requirements and best practices in each discipline.
- Conduct capability and competence assessments of potential supply chain partners to ensure their suitability for project involvement, particularly in relation to facade engineering.
- Collaborate with project management teams to define project scopes, identify risks, and develop comprehensive building execution plans (BEPs) that incorporate the specialized expertise of the Specialist Team.
- Negotiate façade engineering BIM scope with clients, highlighting exclusions, risks, and best practices to support the approval of BEPs and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Implement and administer Building Information Management (BIM) systems and solutions within projects, including configuration, maintenance, and administration of the project Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Enforce adherence to open BIM standards such as IFC or building SMART, as well as international standards like BS EN ISO 19650 or PAS1192 series, across facade aspects of project delivery.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members, encouraging the integration of leading-edge BIM applications into project workflows for improved scheduling, cost management, asset management, and operations and maintenance (O&M).
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential opportunities and risks related to facade engineering within projects, ensuring proactive management of project deliverables.
- Provide structured reporting to project management teams, business unit leaders, and client representatives, including comprehensive updates on BIM issues, clash detection audits, model development status, and project close-out requirements.
- Support the identification of learning and development requirements within the project supply chain, facilitating continuous improvement and professional growth among team members.
- Bachelor's degree in the Architectural field or other relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of broad experience in BIM scope management on large-scale Building projects, with a specialization in façade engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of recent experience in design in façade engineering, with a practical experience in linking data to and from BIM Software.
- Mandatory proficiency and hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit, including Family and parameter creation in façade engineering.
- Mandatory proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks Manage, with a focus on coordination and clash detection specific to the chosen specialization.
- Mandatory proficiency in BIM360 and knowledge of ACONEX Environment, adapted to the needs of façade engineering.
- Proficiency in additional tools such as Solibri, BIM Track, Revizto, tailored to the facades requirements, would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Dynamo scripting tools, with applications relevant to Facade Engineering would be advantageous.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant standards such as BS 8536, PAS 1192, ISO 19650 series, with a focus on their application within the chosen specialization.
- Information Management and BIM-related certifications relevant to Facade Engineering would be advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of COBie implementation/delivery and 4D to 7D deliverables at LOD 350.
- Experience working within a multi-national work environment, with an understanding of cultural nuances and diverse project requirements, would be beneficial.
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts related to Facade Engineering.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and solve problems, with a focus on addressing challenges specific to the chosen specialization.
