Your Title: Technical Support Representative (GNSS / Surveying)Job Location: Hybrid - Perth, WAOur Department: Trimble Advanced PositioningAre you interested in joining the industry leader in GNSS technology and positioning yourself for success?Come and join our newly created position and experience the award winning culture of Trimble!What You Will DoAs the Technical Support Representative (GNSS / Surveying), will be working with a team that monitors and manages the operational networks that deliver Trimble’s unprecedented global real-time service CenterPoint RTX™, along with the well-established portfolio of regional Trimble® VRS Now™ real-time services. These are subscription-based GNSS correction streaming services that are delivered from our server systems via internet or satellite broadcast and which enable our customers to do precise GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) positioning.You will monitor and operate high-availability systems with redundant backup configurations in a highly motivated, international team of system operators located in Munich, Germany, Perth, WA, Australia, and Westminster, CO, USA. You will be monitoring, operating and working as part of a 24x7x365 "Follow the Sun" network operations team in these three regional time zones - some days require strict working hours. Additionally you will focus on keeping CORS infrastructure alive as well as building monitoring and automation based on metrics coming from the monitored services.Key responsibilities:Monitoring and maintaining of real-time GNSS correction servicesMonitoring of the global CORS infrastructure with remote troubleshootingProvide 3rd level support to the Trimble Advanced Positioning customer care team. Give technical advice and answer general service questions.What Skills & Experience You Should BringA bachelor’s or associate's degree in geomatics, geodetic surveying, or related fieldExperience in geodetic surveying and knowledge about GNSS systemHands on experience with Trimble or other brand GNSS hard- and software.Experience in data analysis, working with metrics and building monitoring systems (e.g. with Grafana).Several years experience working in a technical environmentBasic practical knowledge of IT networking and computer network solutionsThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamOutgoing personality, easiness to reach out to peopleGood verbal and written communication skills in English within technical context.What Skills & Experience You Could BringBasic programming skills in Python or PowerShell (with focus on data analysis or processes automation)Satellite broadcast communications knowledgeGoogle Workspace collaboration toolsSecond language would be a bonus but not requiredInformation About Your LocationWe offer a flexible hybrid working style from our small Stirling office location in Perth WA. A limited amount of domestic and international travel will be required mainly for training purposes and team meetings, as well as network support and deployment needs (Less than 10%).
