Kros-Wise is looking for a Safety and Emergency Management Specialist for our customer located in San Diego, CA. You will become part of a team of professionals providing direct customer support on the NAVWAR Old Town Campus.Position Requirements:Kros-Wise is responsible for providing prompt, high quality Professional Support services for a wide variety of programs and projects. All required written documentation, reports, briefing materials, studies, meeting minutes, and other materials as described below shall be submitted in the correct format without content, grammar, spelling, punctuation or consistency errors.OSH SafetySupport Safety operations and programs by conducting Safety Inspections/ Investigations. Provide a weekly soft copy of Web Enabled Safety System and Workspace Information Management System databases. Provide status during the life of the request.Conduct ergonomic risk assessment affecting employees work environment using the Ergonomics Survey Tools from Navy Instruction OPNAVI NST 5100.23(series) Chapter 23 and provide employee training.Monitor, manage, and track taskers to completion as assigned from Department of Navy (DON) Tracker.Provide read ahead /minutes and historical files and coordinate with outside entities regarding services provided. Provide a monthly summary and trend analysis of Safety Requests.Emergency Management (EM)Provide administrative support services for Emergency Management and programs. Schedule and facilitate Monthly Quarterly & Annual meetings and provide read ahead /minutes and historical files.Provide Emergency Management input for data calls and manage Department Emergency Operations Center (DEOC) and equipment related to DEOC Ops. Update and maintain SOPs related to DEOC Ops and provide training related to Emergency Management.Coordinate with outside Emergency Management entities and customers as required.OSH Safety Admin AssistantProvide administrative support services for safety operations and programs by inputting investigation information into data bases. Track requests, cradle to grave, and provide weekly soft copy of databases.Support OSH Manager with data calls by providing a monthly summary and trend analysis of Safety Request and annual OSH 300 Log.Coordinate with outside entities service providers (NAVMED Industrial Hygienists, NIOSH Inspectors, OSHA Inspectors, Safety Vendors, etc.) to request services/products.Experience Requirements:- Must has an Active Secret Clearance- Must have a minimum of three years experience in Safety and Emergency Management- Well versed in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, is required; knowledge of MS Access is a plus- Editing and reformatting written or electronic drafts- Knowledge of technical terminology and office terminology, best practices- Aptitude to acclimate to new subjects quickly Educational Requirements:- Bachelor Degree (desired)
