MACOM sells and distributes products globally via a sales channel comprised of a direct field sales force, authorized sales representatives and leading industry distributors. Our sales team is trained across all of our products to give our customers insights into our entire portfolio.Supervisor, ManufacturingUnder the direction of site leadership, this role provides guidance and direction to the manufacturing/production team, ensuring production goals and MACOM quality standards are met. Responsible for recruitment, development, and monitoring employee performancePrimary Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Planning and Operations Management to ensure customer deliveries and revenue targets are met.
  • Responsible for directing activities of team members.
  • Quickly identifies solutions and removes barriers that would otherwise prevent the daily goal from being met.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all MACOM safety protocols, and procedures for safeguarding and handling of products.
  • Ensure team members are up to date and trained to perform assigned functions.
  • Ensure production bottlenecks are identified and adjust work assignments to compensate.
  • Oversees and participates in 5S activities, including audits and implements improvement ideas in collaboration with the Quality and Engineering Teams.
  • Participates in continuous improvement opportunities, including implementing actions until the desired outcome is achieved.
  • Drives Lean Manufacturing efforts including standard work, Kaizen, Poke-Yoke, 5S.
  • Prepare and conduct performance reviews for direct reports and ensure coaching and feedback are timely and effective.
  • Train, motivate and guide team members.
  • Ensure manufacturing procedures and production records are accurate.
  • Observe employee performance and identify potential employee issues and recommend actions for improvement.
  • Responsible for reporting and scheduling/approving employee vacation/personal time to ensure that day to day operations needs are met.
  • May be required to work weekends, as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, including standard work, modeling staffing needs, and reducing waste.
  • Broad range of materials knowledge and manufacturing based on highly regulated or quality conscious standards. Preferred experience in ISO certification and lean manufacturing deployment.
  • Fundamental ERP knowledge; preferably SAP.
  • Experience with Power BI is desired.
  • Desire to be a part of a solution, and a demonstrated ability to solve problems.
  • High school diploma required, advanced degree or working towards one is preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, coaching, process improvement, and production planning.
  • Effectively manage and resolve employee conflict.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work well within a fast-paced environment.
