Responsibilities:
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives with on and offshore team members (8 people in total)
- Collaborate with the product owner to create and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintain the product backlog.
- Assist the team in story point estimation and velocity tracking to ensure accurate sprint planning and predictable delivery.
- Monitor and report on team performance metrics, including velocity, burn-down charts, and other relevant KPIs.
- Maintain project documentation and artifacts using Jira, Confluence, and other relevant tools.
- Serve as a coach and mentor to the remote teams, promoting cross-functional collaboration and effective communication.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business objectives and development efforts.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master or similar role in an agile development environment, preferably with remote/offshore teams.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with remote teams.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including development, data science, and operations.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
- The office is based out in Lyall Bay and the preference is to have someone working from there a few days per week (full time role, WFH flexibility is available)
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
