As our Air Intake Technical Lead Engineer, you are well-organised, have a technical focus, work autonomously, and are self-motivated. You will need to be a confident communicator as you will work alongside many internal and external stakeholders and will be required to summarise key issues to the senior management team.You will influence vehicle level technology decisions to ensure that best trade off of QCD is achieved as well as creating whole system DFMEA and developing processes to guarantee consistency of sub-systems DFMEAs.Your core strength is technical, and you are driven to optimise your system to meet the performance targets needed to differentiate our cars from the competition. You are hands-on, an established collaborator with a keen eye for detail, you have proven cross functional team leadership to develop and industrialise your system designs.The Key Requirements...
  • Experience of air intake system design, track record of developing a system from concept to production
  • Technical design knowledge using first principles of fluid dynamics, and understanding of CAE optimisation techniques
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and capabilities for plastic and elastomeric materials
  • Functional leader, someone who can collaborate and discuss with other partners and teams
  • Knowledge of Air intake system DVP & its application
  • CAD System basic knowledge - Siemens PLM TeamCentre & NX Software.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing tools, techniques, processes & materials
  • Knowledge of automotive product creation systems & timing
  • Proven experience required in delivering complex system for automotive application
  • Experience of Supplier management
