- Develop and deliver specialised teaching strategies to support students with autism spectrum disorders.
- Collaborate with school staff and external professionals to assess students' needs and progress.
- Create and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) that address academic, social, and behavioural goals.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to students, ensuring they have access to the resources and accommodations they need to succeed.
- Monitor and evaluate students' progress, adjusting teaching strategies and interventions as necessary.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, providing updates on students' progress and offering guidance on how to support learning at home.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Specialised training and experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders.
- Strong understanding of autism and the impact it can have on learning and behaviour.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents.
- Patient, compassionate, and empathetic approach to working with students with special educational needs.
