- Serving as a subject matter expert on Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD).
- Creating and updating all guidance documents and resource guides related to on-demand and mobile medication assisted treatment (MAT).
- Monitoring activities/data to ensure compliance with the contract and guidance documents.
- Providing related technical assistance to Regional and HQ SAMH staff, Managing Entities, as well as relevant stakeholders, professional organizations, and other state agencies.
- Review and approve related contract deliverables.
- Working collaboratively with staff from multiple programs and component areas such as the Coordinated Opioid Recovery (CORE) Network of Addiction Care, Research, Epidemiologists, Hospital and Jail Bridge Programs, Prevention and State Opioid Response grant staff, as well as staff involved in other special projects.
- Conducting outreach and providing technical assistance in the assigned areas.
- Identifying and resolving challenges related to programs in the assigned areas.
- Compile data and draft reports to be submitted to leadership.
- Hold regularly scheduled calls for organizations implementing programs in the assigned areas.
- Knowledge of medications for opioid use disorders.
- Knowledge of treatment and recovery support services for opioid use disorders.
- Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.
- Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.
- Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to plan, organize and faciliate meetings.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to management analysis activities.
- Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of management practices.
- Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials.
- Ability to conduct fact-finding research.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
- Ability to work independently.
- Four years’ experience working in behavioral health, health care, program planning, program research or program evaluation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or a related field is preferred.
- A master's degree from a college or university can substitute for one year of the required experience.
- Professional experience related to behavioral health, health care, program planning, program research or program evaluation can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the preferred college education.
- Experience with treatment and recovery support services for individuals with opioid use disorder or opioid misuse.
- Two years’ experience in implementing and managing complex projects.
