ResponsibilitiesRole SummaryHere at Parker Meggitt, we’re looking for an experienced Record to Report Manager to join our Finance and Accounting Team. In this position you’ll hold a critical operational remit and will be responsible for a consistent, streamlined, global Record to Report processes through the leverage of industry best practice, controls and technology. In this role you’ll lead on operational excellence, with an ongoing focus on continuous improvement, and elements of transformation and transition.Ansty Park is a state-of-the-art facility, and this is an opportunity that would suit an individual that is looking to work in a rewarding, fast-paced and team focused organisation.Core Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the operation of standard process, systems and controls that complies with regulatory and statutory requirements in all relevant jurisdictions; and ensures the integrity of financial data
  • Enabling increases of Financial Shared Services Centre effectiveness and efficiency through continuous improvement
  • Driving process capabilities and skills and developing team performance in line with the Group’s policies and systems in order to achieve business goals
Skills, Knowledge & AbilitiesEssential
  • Previous managerial experience and excellent people management skills
  • Relevant operational R2R experience including but not limited to management and financial reporting requirements, balance sheet reconciliation, journals, banking, fixed assets, intercompany and HMRC returns
  • Extensive accounting experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment including but not limited to general ledger, inventory, CAPEX, cost accounting, revenue recognition, MDM and periodic close as well as other R2R tools
  • Strong controls bias and experience (SOX preferable)
  • Experience of working with remote teams across multiple locations
  • People and communication skills (across a variety of audiences)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to perform complex analysis and reconciliations
  • Problem solving skills
  • Higher education in accounting/finance
Desirable
  • Previous process and/or project management experience preferably in finance shared services or BPO
  • Experience in SAP
  • CIMA/ACCA certified
