Job DescriptionAre you a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with proven experience in a financial reporting-focused role within a large corporate environment looking for a new and challenging opportunity? Our client in Halifax, NS is currently seeking a skilled Manager, Financial Reporting to join their team. This is a permanent role, responsible for leading the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.Key Responsibilities for the Job:
  • Lead preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, incoming statements, and cashflow statements
  • Lead and deliver annual audited financial statements
  • Budget development
  • Manage fixed assets and deprecation records
  • Manage long-term department schedules, leasing, and other financing requirements
  • Provide financial reports for senior leadership
  • Year-end audit coordination and support
  • Team management, coaching, and mentorship
  • Other ad hoc financial and accounting analysis duties as required
Skills & Attributes for Success:
  • Chartered Professional Accountant designation
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role with management responsibilities
  • Previous experience in a large organization is an asset
  • Proven leadership and relationship building skills
  • Proven success in a high growth, constantly changing environment
  • Adaptability and strong problem resolution skills
  • Self-motivated and results oriented work ethic
  • Successful in process improvements and implementation
