- Strategy and Leadership:
- Craft and implement a comprehensive DevOps strategy in line with business goals.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing DevOps team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Design and deploy scalable, automated infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.
- Ensure version-controlled infrastructure adheres to reliability and security best practices.
- Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
- Enhance CI / CD pipelines for automated, streamlined software delivery.
- Ensure efficient and reliable deployment processes for both development and production environments.
- Managing Different Environments:
- Setup and scale Dev / QA / Pre-Prod / Prod environments as needed.
- Enable flexible scaling of environments based on demand.
- Monitoring and Logging:
- Establish robust monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue identification.
- Implement centralized logging solutions for effective troubleshooting and auditing.
- Regularly monitor system uptime, MTBF, and MTTR, and publish quarterly reports.
- Security and Compliance:
- Collaborate with security teams to maintain a strong security posture.
- Ensure compliance with cloud infrastructure-related industry standards and regulations.
- Coordinate annual Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Testing.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Foster a collaborative DevOps culture by working closely with development, operations, and QA teams.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates, key metrics, and addressing concerns.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and refine the overall DevOps strategy, aligning with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and prioritize DevOps initiatives considering business objectives and technology trends.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the DevOps lifecycle.
- Innovation and Technology Evaluation:
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and assess their relevance to DevOps practices.
- Encourage and support innovation within the DevOps team, exploring new tools and methodologies.
- Training and Onboarding:
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure the team has necessary skills.
- Facilitate smooth onboarding for new team members, integrating them into the DevOps workflow.
- Over 10 years of DevOps leadership experience, ideally in a product-focused setting.
- Demonstrated success in implementing and managing DevOps initiatives in large organizations.
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services like EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, etc., with AWS certifications such as DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect (Professional).
- Deep understanding of DevOps principles, including CI / CD, infrastructure as code, and continuous monitoring.
- Strong working knowledge on with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and other relevant DevOps tools.
- Extensive Agile experience aligned with a DevOps culture.
