- Developing PBS as the centre of innovation for credit solutioning within GPB.
- Champions credit solutioning collaboration with other business units to drive returns for the CIMB Group and facilitate collaboration across countries for sharing of best practices and business opportunities.
- Oversees the development and implementation of credit solutioning products and to ensure that they are implemented effectively to its targeted customers in line with PB's business model.
- Keeps abreast of the lending market landscape in order to be able to take actions to capitalise on opportunities and mitigate risk.
- Drives and implements regional initiatives to enhance the performance of relationship management of the Credit Solution teams and maximise local and regional opportunities.
- Drives P&L growth with quality credit customer portfolio growth for PBS and GPB.
- Acts as senior client contact for key and potential client accounts in relation to credit solutioning matters.
- Identifies key objectives, financial and other performance measures for the Credit Solutions unit.
- Any other responsibilities/task as assigned by management from time to time.
- Develops teams of credit solutioning specialists in PBS.
- Manages the performance of the Credit Solutions team in PBS.
- To develop, build and lead an effective and cohesive regional credit solutioning team that operates seamlessly across borders.
- Ensures all credit solutioning are in compliance with Department and Bank Group policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements (eg. BNM & MAS etc. ) and to minimise adverse findings by external auditors.
- Finance-related Degree
- At least 15 years of relevant banking experience, with some leadership
- Ability to lead with knowledge and technical skills for both standard and structured lending transactions, with niche in IB related and cross border lending deals
- Familiar and kept abreast with CIMB Group's policies and guidelines (CPG) including computation of capital charge and RAROC towards fine-tuning internal processes within PB
- Effective experience with capabilities to plan, prioritizes and executes in light of budget, resources and regulatory constraints while driving results (no NPL accounts and regulatory breach during the tenor under my supervision)
- Pace setter - sets standards and delivers standards
- Serves as a talent magnet with the ability to groom, develop and retain talents
- Supported by strong analytic and technical skills, adopts a hands-on approach in guiding and assisting teams/subordinates in putting forward structure and innovative proposals
