- Shape the future of material handling in the battery manufacturing environment by interacting with key automation solution suppliers in an international setting.
- Coordinate and execute the detail design and commissioning work of the equipment together with the suppliers and with other Northvolt departments (e.g. Construction, Process, Purchasing, Digitization, Manufacturing).
- Collaborate with the Automation and Controls Team to implement the material flow system design into functions in the WMS/WCS/ MES.
- Create the basic operational standards required to hand-over the engineering project to the manufacturing team.

- Engineering degree (Industrial/Process/Production/Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Mechatronic or similar).
- Track-record of successful leading implementation of advanced technical projects/automation systems in a demanding fast paced production environment.
- 5+ years of experience within process-driven or discrete process industries such as: Automotive, Battery, Packaging, Metal, Semiconductors, Fine Chemicals, Pharma, Food etc.
- Valuable experience in multi-cultural environment
- Fluency in English, German is a plus
- Innovative thinking and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to proactively face and drive complex engineering challenges
- A continuous learning mindset and a willingness to adapt to emerging technologies.
