  • Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons in line with the school's curriculum standards
  • Encourage student participation and engagement through various drama techniques and exercises
  • Assess and evaluate student performance, providing feedback and guidance for improvement
  • Coordinate and direct school performances and productions, including rehearsals and overall production process
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to integrate drama into cross-curricular activities
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Stay updated on recent developments and trends in drama education, applying innovative teaching approaches when necessary
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Drama or related field
  • Relevant teaching qualification or certification, such as PGCE or QTS
  • Proven experience teaching drama to primary or secondary school students
  • Strong knowledge of drama techniques, theories, and performance skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging drama lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities
  • Creative and dynamic approach to teaching and learning in order to inspire and motivate students
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
