- Develop skills and knowledge of the z/OS IMS Database environment to provide support of database schema for the business applications.
- Provide opportunity to enhance the z/OS IMS database platform with new technology modernization approaches.
- Support business application redesign and deployment to newer technologies
- Feature and design development to support and optimize current processes and technology for modernization of the IMS database persistent data platform
- Primarily administration database platform support and deploying new technologies
- Development and deployment of new technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of operations
- College/Technical Degree with 8-10 years’ technical experience with increasing responsibilities and knowledge and expertise. Knowing mainframe Db2 operational and processing perspectives with distributed WEB access, SQL performance and tuning, and Db2 operational problem determination skills.
- z/OS, IMS, DL/I, GIT, ZOWE, ISPF/TSO, JCL, IMS Database Utilities. Strong execution mind-set to perform, manage and track progress against transformational goals
- Realtime performance monitoring and collection of KPI's for management reporting.
- Ability to perform and support business critical IMS applications to ensure reliability, availability and performance.
- Deploy modernization technology to the z/OS platform to optimize the environment and processes for efficiency and cost reduction
