The post holder is required to work collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful way.What you will do:This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about information rights, law and practice. The Information Governance Team is a team of specialist staff who; develop monitor and oversee the implementation of NHS Ayrshire & Arran's Governance agenda. This includes; data protection, information security, freedom of information, confidentiality, Caldicott, records management, and information quality. The team provide a source of specialist advice, guidance and training to all service or functional areas within and connected to NHS Ayrshire & Arran on all matters relating to information governance.Reporting to the Head of Information Governance & Data Protection Officer you would be responsible for processing Freedom of Information requests, developing information governance and records management related policies, procedures and guidelines, conducting data protection impact assessments, investigating alleged breaches of data protection law, conducting audits and delivering training.For further information on the role please click the link below to view the job descriptionKnowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:Educated to degree level with detailed knowledge of information governance related legislation and an advanced level of knowledge in the use of the Microsoft office suite, advanced computer skills and proficiency in the use of electronic information systems.
