- Actively participates in Safety Program.
- Active support of safety and 5S initiatives including surveys, audits and monitoring the safety of all department employees. Follow safety rules and keep work area clean and orderly.
- Continuously monitor and control existing processes to assure compliance to process limits. Identify causes of unacceptable variation, down time and scrap, implement corrective actions, validate results and document clearly the root cause and corrective actions on the process compliance sheets.
- Define optimum process limits and document them in the format of the Pro Manager / Pro Link set up sheet for production part processes.
- Work with MET's and Project Engineers on New Product and Replacement Die Launches. Process Technicians will assist in the development of the casting process, from involvement in design review meetings, initial sample through full production, to assure that quality and productivity targets are met.
- Participate with MET's and Project Engineers in Continuous Improvement projects such as scrap reduction, up-time improvements, automation, reduce cycle times and other projects.
- Use of process development and troubleshooting tools such as: Shot end Calculations, FLIR Camera and Thermal Mapping, Statistical Data, X-Ray and Destructive Testing, and Tracking of Machined Samples.
- Develop and follow Reaction Plans for correcting processes and for trouble shooting poor performing cells.
- Provide all required documentation for QS audits regarding Process Control, Continuous Improvement, and Permanent Corrective Action.
- Perform Process Compliance and audits with corrective and follow up actions completed as scheduled.

- Must have a complete and thorough understanding of the die casting process, including but not limited to gating, metal flow, metal handling, die cast tooling and die cast safety.
- Must be able to setup, program, operate and trouble shoot: sprayers, ladles, extractors, and robots to optimize the process, beginning at the first piece sample
- Must be able to setup and start up die cast machines.
- Must be able to identify areas that need to be sprayed on a die, set spray heads accordingly, and write a program to provide optimized die lubricant application.
- Provide support for Project Engineering, relating to new and existing programs.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills, understand Excel
- Knowledge and support of all safety programs.
- Knowledge of IATF-16949 system
- Forklift truck certification
- NADCA Safe Die Clamping certification / Troubleshooting
- Must have good problem solving and oral/written communication skills
- Dependability and the ability to work professionally with others
