The Division of Child and Family Well-Being is the newest division at NCDHHS, which focuses on supporting whole child and family health and well-being for North Carolinians. DCFW includes complementary programs that support child and family well-being including major nutrition programs (SNAP, WIC, and the Child and Adult Care Food Program), early intervention services for children birth to three, and health programs and services to support mental and physical health for children.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / CompetenciesTo receive credit for all of your work history and credentials, you must list the information on the application form. Qualified candidates must document on the application that they possess all of the following:
- Working knowledge of State or Federal budget policies, practices, systems, or regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, financial analysis, and cash management.
- Experience in developing or executing policies, processes, and/or financial administrative criteria for the funding of projects, programs or organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively collaborate and communicate effectively across a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience managing federal grants.
- Experience with financial operations in a government health or human services agency.
- Strong leadership capabilities with ability to build an inclusive and equity-focused team culture.
- A customer service mentality with a relentless focus on delivering value to the programs of DCFW and the North Carolinians its programs serve.
- Experience making business or financial processes and decisions transparent through the proactive use of dashboard or performance metrics.
