Security Infrastructure Systems Administrator - RFQ-ASD-48-2024 - SOW 1 - RereleasedDue to the nature of clients we work with here at Kinexus and the projects these roles will be based on, an Australian Government Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance is essential.These opportunities do not have the ability to obtain sponsorship for a security clearance (including applicants who currently hold a security clearance seeking to upgrade).ABOUT THIS ROLEExperienced systems administrator required for maintenance and integration of ICT infrastructure and security systems across the full life cycle of the product owner's systems.The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 3.Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.ABOUT THE COMPANYAustralian Signals Directorate (ASD) is the federal agency responsible for foreign signals intelligence, cyber warfare and information security. Long contracts (12 months+) available.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of a complex ICT environment containing VMware, Windows and/or Linux based systems.
  • Contribute to the provisioning, support and maintenance of Storage Area Network (SAN) appliance, physical and virtual server infrastructure and a small fleet of desktops.
  • With Guidance the reliability of the system by using standard procedures and tools to carry out defined system configuration, backups, and restoring data where necessary. This includes the use of network management tools to collect and report on network load and performance statistics.
  • With Gudiance make sure incidents, problems and changes are captured and responded to within the IT service management platform. This includes administration of accounts and permissions.
  • Identify operational problems and contribute to their resolution, checking that they are managed in accordance with agreed standards and procedures.
  • Assist in documenting existing and new features and processes related to system support and enhancement.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
  • Australian Citizenship and a TSPV security clearance is essential.
  • Essential: Experience in administering a secure and reliable VMware, Linux and/or Windows ICT environment
  • Desirable: Data processing, scripting and coding skills, specifically in Bash, XSLT, PowerShell, Python or C.
  • Experience in administering virtual machine systems, particularly VMware or Red Hat
