- Actively seek out new business opportunities that will contribute to increased account production for entertainment, sports and MICE across Minor Hotels properties within Australia & New Zealand
- Strengthen engagement with existing entertainment, sports and MICE partners
- Sourcing, negotiating, and converting corporate and group contracts to achieve sales and revenue targets, driving overall business growth
- Implementing strategies to drive occupancy and maximise revenue across Minor Hotels properties within Australia and New Zealand
- Work with the Director-Entertainment & Sports in the development and implementation of business plans and new strategies with the intent to grow this niche market segment
- Assist with the development of advertising collateral, working directly with the Marketing Department
- Where directed, maintain and increase allocated Entertainment & Sport accounts for all ANZ properties with a focus on need properties
- Undertake telemarketing, sales and marketing duties, public relations, as and when required, and maintain an active database
- Attending trade shows and industry functions as directed by Director Entertainment & Sport and ensure a high profile for each property.
- 3-5 years’ of hands on experience in a sales/ business development role within a Hotel environment or while working with a Travel Management Company (TMC)
- Proven track record of success in increasing sales and fostering business growth
- Exceptional communication skills, demonstrated by the ability to cultivate strong professional relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders
- Superior attention to detail, coupled with effective time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Strong problem solving abilities to tackle challenges creatively and effectively
- A professional demeanour, coupled with a strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment
- Flexibility to travel domestically when required
