Closing Date: 26th May 2024 Interview Date: 31st May 2024About the role:The Bedfordshire Employment and Skills Academy (BESA) develops and delivers adult and community learning services that promote economic growth by supporting adults and young people (aged 16-18) improve their skills levels. It seeks to help people into work or, if employed, progress via upskilling.We are recruiting to the position of Apprenticeship Lead and are looking for an applicant with a unique set of skills: in this role you will be fully involved with all aspects of the apprenticeship programme, from on-boarding through to support for end point assessments, as well as on-programme pastoral care. The role is caseload holding, so you will be an experienced assessor, with up-to-date vocational experience in the Early Years sector. You will also be expected to deliver training, so recent experience of teaching adults is important.You’ll also be competent in using the Microsoft Office suite, as the role includes analysis of data and trends as well as forecasting income.A detailed knowledge of Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework would be advantageous, as would an understanding of the apprenticeship funding rules.As an individual, you will be passionate about supporting apprentices to achieve their programmes and be able to work with stakeholders at all levels. Your written and verbal communication skills will be outstanding, and you will have the desire to coach and mentor others within the team.A valid assessor qualification is a mandatory requirement for this role, as is an adult teaching qualification and maths & English at Level 2.
