Adult Outpatient Medical Assistant
Join our team where you'll play a crucial role in both clinical support and administrative tasks within the Med Provider Team! As an AO Medical Assistant, you'll be supporting our psychiatry team and acting as a key contact for clients and Primary Care offices, facilitating smooth care coordination. Your responsibilities will range from daily chart prep to recording client vital signs and assisting with insurance authorizations. You'll also manage the prescription refill line, participate in team meetings, and handle screening calls for our medical providers.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPECoordination of Treatment Team Meetings: Demonstrates organizational skills and the ability to facilitate effective communication among team members.Prescription Management: Ensures smooth medication access for clients by monitoring the refill line, communicating with pharmacies, and obtaining necessary authorizations.Client Interaction and Vital Signs: Provides personalized care by greeting clients, conducting vital sign assessments, and promptly communicating any relevant findings to medical providers.Appointment Scheduling and Documentation: Manages appointment scheduling efficiently and maintains accurate client records in compliance with organizational standards.Community Integration Support: Actively promotes community integration for clients and fosters natural support systems, enhancing overall well-being and engagement.QUALIFICATIONSLicensed Nursing Assistant or equivalent
At least 2 years' experience as a medical assistant in a behavioral health or primary care office settingSALARY & BENEFITSCompetitive Salary: $18.25/hr + based on education and experience.
