
Prototyping Supervisor

- Create prototypes/mockups that best represent the final manufactured product including cutting, assembling, and embellishing.
- Safely and efficiently use all prototyping tools and materials such as cutting tools, spray mount, glitter, foil applications and various embellishments to develop final product.
- Coordinate with internal Creative, Sales and Product Development team to produce high quality prototypes/mockups efficiently.
- Communicate with internal teams regarding ability to maintain schedules and deadlines.
- Assist with preparing and printing digital files.
- Instruct and lead freelancers.
- Assist in assembly of presentation and trend boards as needed.
- Maintain an organized workspace including personal work area and equipment.
- Daily tracking of project status using Workfront.
- Maintain inventory of prototyping supplies and materials.
- Assist with miscellaneous projects as assigned (assist with shipping, sample archiving, etc.).
- Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Design or a related field plus 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory position.
- Previous Creative, Art or Crafting background is preferred.
- Superior manual dexterity skills for heavy cutting, assembling, embellishing and finishing.
- Ability to guide and lead freelance staff, including maintaining a pool of skilled freelancers.
- Strong ability to multitask, plan, and manage complex projects with a keen focus on details in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Intermediate level skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
- Basic level skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Adobe Workfront experience is preferred.
- Practical understanding of printing, manufacturing processes and color management is preferred.
