Lead and manage a team of RD tax professionals in providing comprehensive tax services to clients, including planning, consulting, and compliance related to RD tax credits Work closely with clients to identify and document qualifying research and development activities, reviewing technical documentation and financial records Prepare and review RD tax credit calculations and associated documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations Assist in providing client support during tax audits or examinations related to RD tax credits Stay up to date with the latest developments in RD tax credit regulations and industry best practices, and provide training and guidance to team members and clients Collaborate with other departments, such as tax and audit, to ensure seamless and efficient service delivery to clients Assist in business development activities, including identifying and pursuing new clients, preparing proposals, and participating in client meetings and presentations Develop strong client relationships and collaborate with other departments within Armanino to identify opportunities for expanding RD tax services Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing innovative solutions and tax strategies Contribute to the knowledge-sharing initiatives within the firm and keep internal RD tax resources up to date Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge in RD tax credits Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations, ensuring successful completion of engagements within agreed-upon parameters Qualifications Experience Requirements: Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline CPA, JD, EA or equivalent credential Minimum of 7 years of experience in tax consulting/compliance within public accounting with a focus on RD tax incentives Minimum of 3 years in a managerial role involving clients and team members, including the review of tax returns, provisions and accompanying work papers, and supervision of staff assisting in the preparation of client deliverables Preferred Qualifications Master s Degree in Taxation
