- Lead and mentor a team of multi-skilled engineers and technicians across multiple shifts.
- Provide technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and automation issues.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment functionality.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC-based control systems to maintain operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the production environment.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to streamline maintenance operations.
- Drive initiatives to reduce waste, improve productivity, and enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices among the engineering team.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and supply chain teams to prioritize maintenance activities and minimize disruptions.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to provide updates on maintenance schedules, equipment status, and project timelines.
- Foster strong relationships with equipment suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely support and resolution of issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; professional engineering certification is a plus.
- Extensive experience in a maintenance leadership role within the food industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of food processing equipment, automation systems, and utilities.
- Proficiency in PLC programming, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality management systems.
- Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
