- To ensure a balanced portfolio of projects from a company-wide perspective; manage and optimize project portfolio resources and cost effectively as well as fosters transparency on project portfolio performance to assure operational implementation of corporate strategies.
- To guide in planning, organizing, managing and controlling the various stages of the assigned medium to high complexity projects in ensuring the projects are executed according to the schedule, cost and quality.
- To support project delivery team or project manager in terms of project management processes and guidelines.
- Responsible for making sure Agile Team lives by the values and practices of Scrum.
- Set policies, framework, procedures and that defines the establishment, management and control of the projects portfolio. Perform constant review of the above to ensure relevancy and efficiency.
- Provides consistent project management guidance, methods, tools and techniques for consistent project outcomes all over the organization.
- Provide oversight and governance on project so that they are being executed effectively and efficiently.
- Identify interdependencies between various project in within the portfolio.
- Consolidate and prepare for project prioritization in Project Portfolio & Prioritization Meeting.
- Manage company's wide Project Roadmap based on prioritization outcome.
- Ensure business case / proposals and business benefits meet the company strategy objectives.
- Perform periodic random reviews on project compliance.
- Facilitates, plan and track audit findings as well as action plan.
- Consolidate and provide reporting on project benefits or KPIs.
- Facilitate ad-hoc reporting to the relevant stakeholders upon request.
- Monitoring compliance with project management standards, policies, procedures, and templates. Ensuring Project Managers are equipped with the knowledge of the framework, procedures, templates and etc.
- Increase awareness on project management and conduct the Project Manager onboarding.
- Defining and encouraging Project Delivery PMO on Project Management certification/training.
- Any other duties as and when deemed necessary.
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master's Degree in Statistics / Actuarial Science, Mathematics / Economics / Finance/ Accountancy/ Banking, Business Studies / Management or equivalent.
- At least 8 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Good understanding in operations transformation, strategy planning and data analytic preferably in insurance industry, similar experience in other industries is acceptable.
- Strong judgment, with the ability to make quick, yet sound decisions and follow through.
- Ability to work creatively and analytically in problem-solving environment, with a strong customer centricity and commitment to deliver.
- Strong knowledge of lean methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Team-player attitude, with strong interpersonal skills
- Critical thinker with ability to analyze and synthesize information.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders (written and oral).
- A team player and able to manage the relevant stakeholders and ensure timely compilation of deliverables.
- Meticulous, with an eye for details and hands on person.
- Excellent in multitasking and prioritization ; able to work proactively, independtly and under pressure agianst multiple deadlines.
- Excellent people management, planning and organization skills.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an added advantage.
