- Opens care cases, coordinates campus and community resources, facilitates access to treatment including coordination of hospitalizations, discharges, and crisis interventions.
- Produces timely documentation for cases within the electronic record keeping system.
Education: bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, college student personnel, human services, or related field.Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
- Demonstrated awareness, knowledge, and skills related to cultural competence.
- Ability to express compassionate care and empathy to students, families, faculty, staff, and alumni.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize based on needs.
- Knowledge of privacy and ethical guidelines.
- Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information.
- Knowledge and awareness of mental health systems and practices
- One year of experience in a community mental health context, helping profession or crisis response setting.
- Experience in case management in a higher education setting.
