- Representing the firm in arbitration and other adversarial proceedings (both directly and in conjunction with outside counsel)
- Coordinating with outside counsel on court actions involving the firm
- Representing firm employees in third-party proceedings
- Advising firm employees on pre-litigation matters
- Drafting agreements, disclosures, account documentation and website materials
- Investigate and provide detailed analysis and legal advice concerning anti-fraud efforts and cybersecurity matters.
- Staying abreast of current cyber-related regulatory developments
- At least seven years of post-J.D. experience as a litigator at a law firm, financial services regulatory agency, exchange, broker-dealer or FCM.
- Would prefer “on-your-feet” experience in court or arbitration proceedings.
- Would prefer familiarity with securities and broker-dealer issues.
- Background in cybersecurity issues is a plus.
- Member in good standing of the bar of any US state or the District of Columbia
- Solid academic background.
- High degree of comfort and fluency with computers and technology and understanding of how technology is applied to business and regulatory problems
