- Working closely with the own brand clinical expert, agree a product strategy for the own brand ranges
- Identifying strategic sourcing partners, developing joint business plans and mutually profitable growth
- Establish guidelines to ensure adherence
- Collaborate with the own brand clinical expert and the head of category, develop ideal range (remove duplication/identify gaps) and introduce regular range review to ensure relevance
- Complete benchmarking (UK and Europe) to ensure pricing and quality is consistent with brand value
- Collaborate with the marketing team to maximise brand value through targeted marketing strategy
- Develop a product development process to include detailed briefs
- Resource/re-engineer existing products that currently sit outside of brand quality/affordability strategy
- Identify different range requirements (regulatory and preference)
- Identify crossover products with no differentiation for quick wins
- Understand the role and positioning of own brands in Europe
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Expert in own brand development, ideally within a high sky count, highly regulated product area eg healthcare, medical etc
- Confidence in relationship building with senior stakeholders both internally and externally
- Strong commercial acumen
- Proficient in understanding systems
- Previous experience in brand proposition development
