- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Category Managers to achieve individual and team goals, reporting directly to the Senior Category Manager.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimise trading performance, drive sales growth, and maximise profitability under the guidance of the Senior Category Manager.
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product assortment expansion and optimization, collaborating closely with the Senior Trading Manager.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure alignment and execution of trading strategies, with support from the Senior Trading Manager.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms to support business objectives, with oversight from the Senior Category Manager.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), sales metrics, and financial performance to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous optimisation, reporting findings to the Senior Category Manager.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging trends, and best practices to inform decision-making and drive innovation, with guidance from the Senior Category Manager.
- Proven track record of success in a senior trading or category management role, within the FMCG or Health & Beauty sector.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a results-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
