- Be a proactive member of the board and management team and act as a business partner;
- Responsible for Finance, Legal, Risk & Compliance and Purchasing. IT and HR reports directly to the CEO;
- Run a tight ship on basic financial accounting; clean general ledgers, simple accounting, on-time and in full reporting to multiple stakeholders and (financial) controlling;
- Drive improvement efforts on financial controls, process efficiencies and quality of reporting;
- Set up reliable Forecasting / Planning / Predictions and set up the organization accordingly in terms of capacity, checking and monitoring business cases;
- Prepare and improve monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory and management reporting for various stakeholders;
- Set up and prepare reporting of operational metrics / business intelligence including sales, backlog, work-in-process, inventory etc.;
- Lead ad-hoc analyses to improve profitability, e.g. on costs, pricing, project/contract profitability or investments;
- Convert the strategy into financial targets for the activities and forecast/budget and monitor the actual business performance;
- Support the business in the financial and risk aspects of complex sales processes;
- Participate in M&A activities, from due diligence to post-acquisition integration:
- Participate in contract and other legal work with respect to the Company’s operations and activities;
- Optimize cash flow and working capital;
- Treasury, liaising with shareholders, external auditors, tax, and banks;
- Responsible for managing the Company’s tax calculations and returns;
- Manage existing third-party debt facilities and ensure compliance with finance documents.
- Significant and broad experience in an end responsible CFO position;
- Able to present strategy, recommendations and results of complex analyses to cross-functional stakeholders and to interface with cross-functional teams at all levels;
- Experience in leading and managing a quality financial organization in terms of process integrity, efficiency and quality improvement, personnel motivation and process optimisation;
- You are a natural team player and have excellent communication and leadership skills;
- Experience in improving planning and control cycle, KPI’s and management reporting;
- Comprehensive understanding of ERP systems, preferably MS Dynamics;
- Strong hands-on experience and entrepreneurial drive;
- Strong project management, problem solving and analytical skills;
- The ideal candidate is a qualified Master in a relevant study, RA or RC qualification is a plus;
- Prior experience of working in a private equity and/or entrepreneurial (“DGA”) environment is a big plus;
- Experienced in working in a project oriented company;
- Experienced in a company with recurring business is strongly preferable but not essential;
- Prior M&A experience, buy-side and/or integration, is a plus;
- Must be fluent in Dutch and English.
