- Assists in designing electronic circuits and creates firmware for keyboard products, input devices, and/or ODM products.
- Assists in building and debugging prototypes.
- Assists in developing quality control specifications and standards for product manufacturing decisions.
- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Performs purchasing interface; obtains samples/quotes of electrical and mechanical components.
- Works with design engineers to find common or unique components for design applications.
- Works with suppliers, customers, receiving inspection, and engineers reviewing component, product and test specifications.
- Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and previous experience in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.
- Ability to operate a computer use spreadsheet, database, word processing, and assembly language programming software.
- Ability to design circuits, and create firmware for embedded processors.
- Ability to use EECAD Systems.
