- Manage and organise the library's collection of books, periodicals, multimedia materials, and digital resources.
- Assist patrons in locating and utilising library resources effectively.
- Provide reference services, answering inquiries, and assisting with research projects.
- Develop and implement library programs and events to promote literacy, learning, and community engagement.
- Maintain library records, including circulation statistics, acquisitions, and patron information.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in library science.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance library services and support educational initiatives.
- Ensure the library's physical and digital spaces are welcoming, organised, and conducive to learning.
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Previous experience working in a library or similar educational setting.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in library management systems, cataloging procedures, and information retrieval tools.
- Familiarity with digital resources, online databases, and electronic library services.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for lifelong learning.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
